Reviews - What do customers think about Night at the Museum (Widescreen Edition)?
 | Finally a GREAT family movie!! May 17, 2007 |
I took my kids to the theatre to see this movie when it first came out. What a delightful surprise. The movie was fun, adventurous and had some snippets of history in it as well. I pre-ordered my own copy here at this site so I could add it to my own movie collection.
5 stars, 2 thumbs up, Mother's Seal of Approval and all that jazz!! | | | | Funny Movie : ) May 17, 2007 |
| This Blu-Ray DVD has a very clean picture and sound. Also this movie is funny and well written. Would recommend !!! | | | | Eye candy and frantic action for the children but little else. May 16, 2007 |
| The movie was well produced. Good cinematography. Eye popping special effects. Not much else. The story never comes together. Just alot of frantic running around over and over again with no real purpose other that to show more of the same special affects. Some funny moments but few. Some serious moments but few. I would have rated this film lower but I do think children would like it. | | | | Non stop fun May 16, 2007 |
| By far this movie is not just for children. It's really a well done movie with a great storyline. The acting is decent, the comedy is good, and the action is non-violent. Not to easy to find in todays Rated R dominated market. I was almost constantly entertained as this movie has a great flow that didn't get bogged down. It is a family story but it also plugs a great message. I have always been an avid history buff and I really hope that this film will spark a renassiance for the museums. Please don't be discouraged by a movie that seems to be intended for children. It should keep most adults with a sense of humor entertained. | | | | Good Clean Fun May 16, 2007 |
The movie was fun. Even my wife was impressed. She noticed that there was no bad language, no nudity and really tame violence and it was funny! The CGI was good. The plot was okay. The subplots were better. Williams as Teddy Roosevelt and mentor to Ben was excellent. It was fun to see Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney. They were both good. The monkey was funny. Plot holes abound, but I was having fun so I didn't care. Ben Stiller played a jerk who turns into a likeable character really well.
My only very mild complaint, is that they would have played up the the importance of history angle more. However, that is a matter of taste and not a detractor of the movie. | | | Write your own review about Night at the Museum (Widescreen Edition)
