Item description for The Will of Wisteria by Denise Hildreth...
Overview Charleston blue-blood Clayton Wilcott has determined to change the very course of the lives of his four children. The battle for their birthright will bring them face to face with themselves and each other, and what is revealed will challenge the very soul of each of them.
Publishers Description
Four headstrong siblings must satisfy their father's dying demands--or risk losing his fortune. Let the clash of wills begin. Charleston blue blood Clayton Wilcott "got religion" late in life; so late, it turns out his kids never took to it. So he's left a provisional will delivered in a highly unorthodox way. Now they're going to have to honor Daddy's commandments from beyond the grave--for a full year--or be cut off from their substantial inheritances. The scent of wisteria lingers in the air as the four spoiled Wilcotts battle for their birthright. Told in Denise Hildreth's trademark blend of humor and heart, this Southern tale is about learning to love, learning to live, and learning to bend. |

Reviews - What do customers think about The Will of Wisteria?
 | Fantastic read!! Nov 14, 2008 |
| I absolutely could not put this book down. This is the first book of Denise Hindreth's that I read, but I will definitely be looking for more of her books. This is a great story about family, how you can go home again, and that past hurts can be healed. | | | | One of the best books I've read yet Sep 16, 2008 |
Everyone needs to read this book. You will not put it down until you are finished. | | | | Good read...starts a little slow though Sep 10, 2008 |
| Like most of Denise Hildreth's books, it starts slow and then picks up. Of all the kids, I found Elizabeth to be the least endearing even after she had changed for the better. She seemed so full of hate whereas the other kids were just misguided and extremely self-absorbed. I even warmed up to the cad Jeffrey. It did bug me a little that the narrative infers that elective plastic surgeon (or anyone who gets elective surgery)=shallow and bad. I was also hoping to see some interaction between him and his baby daughter. As far as the alcoholic eternal student Will, I just kept wanting to scream at him. That guy is one dense dude. It was also nice to see Mary Catherine become a force to be reckoned with in life and her classroom. | | | | Great, thought provoking book Aug 22, 2008 |
| This book was fantastic. I don't think it spoils anything to say that the book revolves around some spoiled grown children of a rich father -- and as such, I thought I would never relate! But this book managed to make me stay up way past my bedtime, and kept my interest until the very end. The character development was very good. The will referred to in the title is at the center of the conflict in the book. Each character finds it hard to abide by the conditions of the will, and you wonder whether they will all make good (and receive their inheritance) by the end of the book. Hildreth does not give in to a "happily ever after" style ending, but it does satisfy. If you're looking for some good fiction, try this book. | | | | A Terrific Read Apr 20, 2008 |
| After reading the Savannah series and falling so completly in love with the characters, I didn't think that I would enjoy this book as much. Boy was I wrong! The characters in this book almost each needed a book of their own. They left a huge impression on me. I almost felt as though I didn't get to know them as well as I would have liked. I guess that is a sign of a truly gifted author...always leave them wanting more. I would recommend this book to anyone. | | | Write your own review about The Will of Wisteria
