| The Message, especially The Message Remix 2.0, is incredible. It's simply the Bible in modern language. BUT there is so much more to this. It's poetic, it's well explained, and it's written in such a way that the context of the pages are easily comprehendable. Each book starts out with Eugene Peterson explaining the whole book, to put it in perfect context. So when you read the book, it makes complete sense! The Bible finally makes sense!!! Each chapter has this heading sentence that explains the main point of the chapter. There are these neat little maps and such, but I can't explain enough the importance of how well written it is. It's to the point, and it explains exactly what the Bible means rather than what the Bible says. That said, you should supplement this "Study Paraphrase Bible" with the NIV, and other translations. You will cherish this wonderful hardbound book. It's truly changed my life and got me and my friends to connect with Jesus Christ on a whole new level. i like to sit down and underline parts that are especially meaningful to me, and then I type those things onto my "men's ministry" website www.roycebarber.com so I really would like to thank Eugene H. | I got this Bible for my friend because he said he never read his Bible as it was too difficult to read. He tells me he finds this easy to read and IS actually reading it. The down side (to me) is that every verse is not numbered, so if you take it to church you might be trying to find the verse in between the numbered paragraphs. From beginning to end, every word of this is valuable. This should be the only "version" or "translation" available. There is no more guessing at meanings or reading between the lines. This is the Bible in plain, modern English.

| I bought the Message Bible when it only came in Psalms, Proverbs, and the New Testament. I opened it and began to read, and cried. For the first time I could read the Bible and not be confounded by OLD KING JAMES LANGUAGE! Nobody talks in that language anymore.
