My husband and I both are reading this book together. We also started reading it with some friends (two other couples) in a small group form. This book is great for any married couple, no matter how long you've been married, or if you are having marital problems are not. At our group we read a chapter once a week, then each couple does the questions at the end of the chapter and at the end of the book on their own. By reading this book together and discussing the questions together it has greatly enriched my marriage. I've never felt closer to my husband then I do now. I highly recommend this book.

Wow, what an eye-opening book! Whether you're contemplating marriage or not, you need this book to understand anyone of the opposite sex. The author puts into words what you could not otherwise articulate, but you knew it was a name for it. This book (audio CD)is the bomb! I highly recommend this audio-CD as a must-read for pre-marital and post-marital counseling.

I bought this book because I thought it would help my husband and i have a great marriage - and early in the book, i realized it was going to help. But as I read on, I had this feeling that the book was a little biased and made it seem as though: *it was only men that had a high sexual drive and need *women didnt really enjoy sex but did it more to please their husband *men are the ones that need to give up more of their things to please the women *only men want an attractive spouse There are good points in the book, I especially liked how every chapter gave scenarios to different affairs and how each unmet need can drive a person to cheat. I hope there are better books out there, something that gives a woman more of a voice in the sense that she is a sexual being and not just a means to a sexual end for her husband. Women want more than the things this book says - and sure, the list of 10 needs it quite accurate, but he really emphasizes that women want one thing and men want the opposite. With the way society has changed and how women have become more independent, sexually liberated and so active, a book like this can only help so much. I dont want to lose all i've become to save my marriage, but according to this book - i will. and maybe its because i enjoy climaxes and dont put domestic support on my top 5 needs.

This has some rather revealing information that most people never grasp about the oppoisite sex. It is a great read to give to those about to be married.

This book was often used in the sermons of my former pastor and his former wife at a church I attended in high school. It was touted as the only book you need for a happy marriage. Even the youth group was encouraged to read it so that we would know what to do when we found a mate. That pastor later had an affair with one of the married women in his congregation and is now divorced. And that's all I've got to say about that.
