| I've read a few of Mr Maxwell's books now and this one is a solid effort. I am a bit leery of 21 laws for anything but his general advice is worth the read. Within it's pages there are some real pearls and at 260 pages, it's a pretty fast read. I think when you've written as many books as John Maxwell, you are bound to have some repetition in your books and that isn't so bad since you need to read this information over and over again. | Previous to reading Maxwell's, "The 21 Most Irrefutable Law's of Leadership" I was skeptical, and wasn't sure exactly what to expect, however, by the end of it I was able to really take what he wrote about to heart, (not to mention it was an easy read!). Throughout the book Maxwell set out to explain a set of 21 laws directed towards a successful leadership style that has been backed up with real life examples of people who he encountered in his life, whether it be business men and women, war generals, sports players, etc. What I, personally, enjoyed while reading the book was not only how Maxwell explain the 21 laws but he lets the reader know that the laws can be learned, he is, essentially, acting as a teacher towards the reader. Throughout the book Maxwell assures the reader that leadership is a skill, it's something that every single person can learn and eventually perfect. Although he says not everyone will be able to pick up the 21 laws well at first, or as fast as others, it is important to learn them and eventually people will succeed and, ultimately, become a better leader towards all aspects of their life. I would recommend this book to everyone, throughout reading it I felt as though I was right there at a leadership conference being taught some of the most valuable information that can be applied to all aspects of life; not only towards leadership aspects, but character development as well. There is no doubt in my mind that if you read this book you will become a better leader. I am graduating from college in May, and I can honestly say that this book was well worth every penny; it helps pave the path towards the next challenge that life has to offer me. | This book was recommended to me by a leadership mentor and has completely opened my eyes and broadened my education of what it means to be a leader, how to be (good) leader, how to assess my personal weaknesses and strengths, and how to use all of these skills to be a leader not only in business, but in family, in church, and in my community. I really like how there are specific activities and instructions for you to follow at the end of each chapter to help yourself improve in that particular area of leadership. (Note, this feature is only available in this 10th anniversary edition). It is similar in structure and philosophy to Covey's 7-Habits of Highly Effective People. | I bought this for a class on leadership. I thought I was buying the book version. It turned out to be the audio CD version. It served my purposes better than I anticipated. If you are looking for a very informitive book on how to become a very good leader,then you need to explore the pages within these covers.A thing that is thken for granted is the packaging of the product.
When this site sends it's packages they do it very well.
I am in a leadership position and I am finding that this book is a gold mine of leadership material and ideas.
I would like to point out that this site has met all the needs in books that I have requested and done so in a timely manner.
