| If you are using the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, this commentary is an essential companion for your serious study. This work is very practical and doctrinal. It was written by the top evangelical scholars. It will provide you a complete, authoritative explanation of the meaning of each verse (most of the time) of the Bible, and the Bible as a whole. I highly recommend this book to everyone who want to expand their knowledge concerning the bible. I believe this book is one of the best single volume commentaries that you can find in the market. However, there are two drawbacks that I want to mention. The first one is result from it's limited spaces and variations in authors' styles. These things make the book containning some inconsistencies in digging deep into each verse, frequently some verses are omitted or not explained. The second one is that the quality of the papers used in this edition is rather poor. If you want something better I would like to recommend you "the Life Application Study Bible: New Living Translation Anniversary Edition (Hardcover)".
