This is a book for Christians (well, gentiles) to learn a bit about Judaism. It has many lovely color illustrations and is easy to read and understand. It covered a lot of information. For example, it told what activities and rituals are done during the various feasts, why, and often included a favorite recipe. However, it was more like a book you'd read to a child to teach them about modern Judaism rather than a research tool for Bible studies.
The book covered the Torah, Menorah, Mezuzah, Skullcap, Prayer Shawl, Shofar, Shabbat, Havdalat, The three Pilgrimage Festivals, Passover, Shavuot, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, Blessings, Tefilin, The Seven Species, The Breastplate, and The Jewish Calendar. | | |  | A short and regular book Mar 8, 2009 |
I read this reasonable book, here in Brazil.This book is short, has many illustrations , is printed in color and is very easy to read and understand.
The main problem of this book is, its lack of details.
