| i have a pretty decent prayer life but of course it could be better. i was experiencing a lot of upset feelings about something and i happened to be in the grocery store one day looking through books on a rounder. i picked this one up and i opened it to a "random" page and it was for a prayer that was EXACTLY, not generally, but exactly what was causing me the upset feelings (work related). i knew i had to buy the book. i also read through several other prayers in the book and also found them to be jewels as well. this book is so comprehensive covering a range of topics that could impact anyone. i like that specific bible verse is noted within the prayer so you could go look it up for further reference but it doesn't detract from the powerful but direct words of the prayer and each page is really just the title/topic and the prayer...straight to the point. this is almost like having another christian praying for you. i feel there is freedom to modify the words based on your situation when you speak the prayer on your or your loved ones behalf. it's a good book and would make an excellent gift to a person who wants to strengthen their prayer life. | | | | Emergency Prayers Feb 1, 2010 |
