Publishers Description This repack of Randy Alcorn's gripping bestseller delivers us from ignorance of the devil's schemes. Reviews - What do customers think about Lord Foulgrin's Letters?
 | Awesome eye opener Nov 16, 2008 |
An ordinary businessman named Jordan Fletcher. He thinks he has it all, a wife and kids and a good job with a bit of extra money to apend. But all we do learn is that it is not all as it seems. Jordan's kids are into drugs, porn and the occoult. Jordan himself is think about bedding his secratary.
We get to follow his short life in little chapter snippets. The rest of the chapter deals with a high ranking Demon named Foulgrin. He gives advice on how to steer Jordan away from the truth of Christianity. In doing so we gain insight into how manipulative they can be.
Do yourself a favor READ THIS BOOK!!!!! I especially liked...
How it was written from the Demon's perspective. He would laugh at us when pointing out how they play with us on a Ouija board. Or how dumb we are that we do not see how much GOD loves us and how he made this planet.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Give it to all my friends. Christian or not. Though you may want to buy them thier own book, cuz you might not get your book back. :) This Book made me feel...
Great to be a Christian and to try and help spread the good news and to break apart some of the methods that were being talked about in the book.
Randy Alcorn Is a fairly new author in the Christian genre but he does have a couple good books under his belt, this bieng one of them.
It can be a great spritual teaching tool to use to get thoses of us that are on "the fence" so to speak.
Further Comments...
This book will peel back the deceit of our culture and challenge you to put your household in order.
By reading the enemy's mail, you will be much better equipped to avert his devices to divide the homes and lives of America...including your own.
Lord Foulgrin's Letters were not meant to fall into the hands of humans. But thanks to Randy Alcorn's imagination, and spiritual insight we have the opportunity to read the correspondence between Lord Foulgrin and Squaltaint, a lowerlevel demon.
After finishing this book, you may be a bit uncomfortable, but you will not be unaware of the reality of spiritual warfare that is going on around you.
GO AHEAD....READ YOUR ENEMY'S MAIL
| | | | An Update of Lewis Aug 7, 2008 |
| I thought this book was good, but was (more or less) just a rehashed, updated version of "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis. In some places (quite a few, if you ask me) the same exact words from "The Screwtape Letters" are used by Alcorn. If you like reading modern adaptations of classics, this is the book for you. If not, I suggest sticking with the original. | | | | Eye Opener Jul 12, 2007 |
| This is an eye opener. I highly recommend this book. ONE person gave it a negative review and THAT review actually promted me to get this book because everyone else seemed to like it. Well, let's just say that the majority rules in my opinion. C S Lewis set the stage and introduced an awesome concept and is clearly a master. But Alcorn brings it home for today and even honors Lewis a bit in this book. Gotta get it! | | | | Lord Foulgrin's Letters Jan 5, 2007 |
| While I enjoyed the book and got a lot from it, it wasn't a page burner for me. It was interesting to see how the enemy twists and uses our human flaws for his good. It really shows the spiritual battle that is always raging on around us. It makes me think about guarding my mind, heart, eyes, and ears from things. If you've wanted to read C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters, but just couldn't get through them, then this is a good read for you. | | | | Christian novels of this calibre are far and few between May 23, 2006 |
| I have read hundreds of books, and never have I walked away feeling a deep sense of satisfaction. Make your guardian angels' job a lot easier, read this book, and stare the devil in the face. Reading this book made me realize how powerful and powerless the devil is. The devil is the father of ALL lies, the bible says. Any and all lies, great and small, are from the devil. Amazing how easy it is to forget that. Like the other reviews on here state, read this book! | | | Write your own review about Lord Foulgrin's Letters
