| Wiersbe's book is a gem for the pastor and layperson. As mentioned in an earlier review, you will feel as if Wiersbe is right there beside you when reading the book. The conversational tone of the book makes it enjoyable to read. Wiersbe also presents many excellent points, some of which are: 1. A sense of humor is necessary for the ministry.
2. Let books enrich your life and ministry.
3. The joy and fear of the Lord frees us from the fear of

| This book is ideally suited for younger ministers or more experienced pastors who recognize their limits and their need for wisdom. I can hardly imagine any preacher, young or old, who would not benefit from reading this short book. Dr. Wiersbe gives us "down-to-earth" nuts and bolts type teaching here rather than the obscure ramblings so common in many handbooks and textbooks. While reading this book, I felt like I was "sitting down across a log" with a seasoned pastor, who gave me advice on everything from humor to finances to facing opposition.
